A Stranger in the House by Shari Lapena

A quick read for May's Book Club.  With quick, short chapters and a very tight story line about one couple in particular, the reading went very fast.  I enjoyed a new author and different genre, crime thriller, for a change; but still like historical fiction better (a little more detail with a few more story lines that intersect, then come together at the end).

The best part was the last chapter's twist, finding out who Karen "really" was.  I thought it kind of ironic that Karen and Brigid actually turned out to have one major characteristic in common: planning connivers who learned to twist the truth to their advantage.  Poor Tom!!

An OK read, thumbs even!!
