This was my favorite welcome sign thus far! (Notice our Roadtrek on the side of the road.) Colorado Springs was great fun, so much to see and do. Before locating the Hendrens' home, we stopped at Garden of the Gods, amazing red rock formations- recommended by my friend, Karen Ullrich. The photo below was the Twin Sisters, with a "peek at Pikes Peak" through the little "window". Quite a bit of hiking and viewing climbers doing a great job of ascending some sheer cliff faces. Great way to start out the day. Stopping briefly at a flea market, we found the Watt Apple pattern soup dish with handle...for 75 cents!! I have several odd pieces with this pattern!
We were so warmly welcomed at Ken & Nancy's. Had great meals, conversations and prayer with them. It was a delight to finally spend some quality time instead of just exchanging FB chatter & photos of our shared grandkids.
